I got my U2711 and here are my first impressions.
1. I ran a few games incl. TF2 on low ping servers to check for lag and couldn't discern any.
2. The AG looks the same as my AW2310, not a problem at all.
3. The colors, WOW, stunning!
4. The added desktop space is so welcome. I had a 1440x900 in portrait as my browsing display. This screen has the same vertical and I can now stretch the browsing windows out. There is soo much room for work.
5. In Metro and BC2 my memory usage hit 1400 MB so a 480/580's 1.5GB VRAM might be the perfect amount.
6. The calibration from Dell is so good that I doubt I would be able to notice any difference if I calibrated it with hardware. The Delta-E's are almost all below 2.0 already. Some of the Greys are above 2 but only one of the higher colors is above 2.

Great display for gaming and professional use. Movies top out at 1080p so the extra resolution won't help there. Its only 60Hz so I am keeping my AW2310 for 3D and 120HZ use. The colors are exceptional and the extra rez really looks good in gaming. Overall I give this display two thumbs up!
