[XDA-Dev] Asus Transformer Overclocked to 1.4Ghz - Page 4

Its now up t 1.6 and is getting 5k on quadrant.

Few people need to be corrected.

1. Rooting/Overclocking doesn't void the warranty, all this overclocking is based off the fact ASUS released the kernel source.

2. Battery life is better with the overclock, it downclocks and lowers the voltage.

And this is why asus gets all of my money.

I agree, using a custom OC kernel usually has some under voltage tweaks applied to it that balances it out, or sometimes make it perform even better than stock. (Battery+Clock)

Why does everyone think rooting voids your warranty? It doesn't. Period. Besides, if you ever wanted to RMA, all you have to do is flash back to the original ROM

Rooting is a software modification. If you created an admin account on your new laptop, does that void your warranty?

Lol? Are you for real? I've used mine for over 15 hours before and still have ~10% left.
