Will a GTX 580 fit in an Antec 300?

Just wondering if anyone who has an Antec 300 case has managed to fit a GTX 580? Also, what power supply would you recommend I get with a 580 to replace my current psu? Thanks.

580 is 10.5", the antec 300 can handle 11" card. you will probably lose the drive bay across from the 580. i have the same issue with my 5850s.

Don't see why not.

If you can afford a 580, spend an extra few bucks on a real case though.

It's not about not wanting to spend the dough. It's just a lot of work to switch everything out that it's probably just better to build a new rig then in that case.

Just measure with a ruler from the slot to the HDD. You should have at least 10.5" space. Your power connectors are on the side of the card not the end so you won't need any further room. Would be nice if you had 10.6" at least.

My CM HAF 912 mid-tower has the flexibility to remove the middle HDD cage and I can fit a 12" card if I had to. If your mid-HDD cage is removeable you might want to look into that. Use bottom HDD cage for drive. It also allows air from front fan to clear into the case without obstruction. View my public profile pics to get an idea what I'm talking about.

Yep it was my last case, I had crossfire 5850's and I was going for a third!
Then I realised I needed big changes for what I wanted because when I thought of getting a third I knew that then I would want a fourth!

So I built this rig which i only have 1 GPU in!(Dont worry I am getting my other 3 GPUs soon, im ordering 2 next week)

Anyways its a beast of a case, maby not the best for 3-4 card setup though.

Thanks, Sir Overkill.
