Right PSU to power a GTX 580?

Thread Starter
I plan on getting a GTX 580 soon but am not sure how much juice I will need to power it. I really don't want my psu to be overkill so I don't wanna get a 1000w just to be on the safe side. What I want is a very quality psu. Price is not of the biggest factor, so please recommend me a good one for my rig. I think the rest of my system is pretty low power intensive.

Any quality 550W. A 750W for SLI.

Best 550W out right now is the Kingwin Lazer Platinum 550W.

My take: Seasonic X650 Gold for about 130$ link here 650W is more than enough power for a single GTX 580, even OCed and this PSU has good quality.

I want that PSU too.

Though, for that price, unless SLI was nowhere in sight for the future, which it always is for these larger GPUs, I'd say go for a higher qualitiy 750w PSU.
