560Ti Twin FrozrII & Afterburner ?

Thread Starter
So, I've just recently gone with water cooling on the CPU and have replaced some of the NZXT fans's with GT's.

Question is; is there a way to drop the fan speed on my two SLI GTX560's?

According to Afterburner, they must run a minimum of 40%, which is now the loudest thing in the computer.

I don't mind when the ramp up during gaming and such, but I would like to drop them to around 25 - 30% at idle. Idle temps are only 30 ~ 32c.

Manually setting the fans in Afterburner doesn't drop the min speed (40%)...

Thanks

My Sig Video Card does the same thing. I tried doing a 1:1 fan speed ratio but it never goes below 40%. I think it might be an Nvidia thing. My ATI's from my AMD Build don't do that.

I have 2 MSI GTX 560s and my minimum is 25%. It shows up in the monitor and in the fan tach as well. Make sure you have the latest version of Afterburner, I am using 2.1.0 and the latest nvidia drivers.

I am surprised you can here them at 40%. Is your PC on top of your desk? Mine is on the floor and I dont really hear them until about 50-54%.

Yes, the PC is on a shelf right beside the desk. About 2ft. away from my ears...

It's not that loud, but I can hear it, whereas when I put in the Gentle Typhoons in the case and went to water cooling, they are all silent.... It's just an OCD thing
