buying a card overclocked and the problems with it...

again im super new to computer hardware and im addicted already, taking in as much knowledge as fast as i can so im sorry if this is a newb question

i have recently had a whine with my GPU which im going to rma tomorrow which isnt a problem. im told tho that the chances of me getting this fixed with an rma however are slim.

my question is then what would i UNDERCLOCK the card to or even overclock it to possibly fix the whine i get

i have read that vsync is one way to fix it because having TOO much fps is bad for this problem (also the human eye can only see a certain fps apparently i was corrected) but i am curious what GPU voltage and what not fixing i can do to maybe see some dif results for this problem

im not aware of good OC software for this sort of thing so please tell me what its called if it exists

thanks in advance guys

side note - can a 2gb 560 ti sli with a 1 gb one? and will i gain any vid ram which will help me be a bit more future proof (which i no is a no-no with hardware)

User MSI AfterBurner.

Mine has a whine too when I benchmark it. It's never had any ill effect. Just watch your temps (90C tops).

Your eye is capable of far more than 60hz (fps). Your computer screen, however, probably isn't.

Squealing caps, rma probably won't change anything, after a while you likely won't even notice it.
