[1UP] Play the Red Faction: Armageddon [PC] Demo Without Downloading it - Page 2

Just installed OnLive and tried this out. The game is awesome but I really wish they'd make Red Faction a FPS again. Still an awesome game, though. OnLive service is strange however. I felt like I was watching a YouTube video, not playing an actual game. Resolution was far too low and there was streaming fuzz like crazy. You can't really admire graphics with OnLive. Cool concept for those who have really outdated computers but good internet connection. Not for me.

the destructibility of the world is pretty cool . the lag isnt too bad while playing. its definitely noticeable though. if they could get that to a pt where it is not noticeable; that would be pretty impressive.

I hate the input lagg. no matter how high of a connection speed i try it on i still get a .01 second or so of input lagg.

And it feels like watching a 240p youtube video.

Game looks cool, if i got a proper demo i might have preordered

I have Comcast with 1.5 megabytes (not megabits) per second download after the boost wears off (3 megabytes during boost). The input lag really can't be avoided, even with good speeds. I'm staying far away from OnLive from here on out unless there's another demo that's available only from OnLive.

I am one of the few that loved guerrilla. I hope this one plays like it. As long as they keep the destruction I will be buying this one. Most of the complaints for guerrilla could be fixed with some variables to the shortcut and editing one file. After those little fixes the game ran flawless with everything maxxed on my 4870.

I loved Guerrilla too. I still play it. I'll probably buy this since Volition said that they ported the PC version themselves and that it looks "beautiful".

Maybe it is just simulating consoles?

Slower reactions and poor graphics.
