TIM Consultants appreciation thread

These are fantastic and somewhat under appreciated thermal greases imo (both Quantum Grease and TC 0098), and I just wanted to give them some praise. I currently use Quantum Grease on my CPU, NB, and SB, and it gives me better temperatures than IC Diamond 7. It's also much easier to apply, spread, and remove, which is a big help.

Does anyone else use either of these thermal greases, and how has your experience been with them?

I have been using OCZ Freeze for about 3 years now. It preforms very well. As long as I can get it, I will use it.

Performas about the same as as5 and ocz freeze according to the review you linked to, and at $3.00 for 2.5g, it is a little cheaper as well. I'm sure others will try it out now

^ and it doesn't benchmark the TIM the OP is suggesting. It also misses out a few of the top shelf TIMs as well.

You need to look at one of the other ones. It has Shin Etsu X23, Indigo Xtreme, IC Diamond, and some others.

Quantum absolutely pwns Artic Silver 5.
With AS5: 31C Idle, 65C load
With Quantum: 26C Idle 59C load

Yes AS5 has been in my computer for about 120Hours. No difference in temps. Waste of $10!
Meanwhile Quantum was awesome! Wish I didn't replace it. I had it in my PS3 too and it lowered man speed tremendously.

That is a pretty big difference. I am going to have to try the Quantum and see for myself.

After reading all the positive reviews of AS5 i was surprised that it was worse.
And it is more than 2x more expensive.
