Sounds like someone sent you a used board, *OR* the factory is simply cranking out motherboards before testing them (they're supposed to test them BEFORE shipping them out...isn't that what the "QA test OK" stickers on boards used to be for (with a stamp next to them?)
(and what's that single shiny pin at the bottom?)
I honestly didn't look. I'm really not used to Intel sockets, but I know for a fact I didn't touch those pins, and there are no protrusions on the contact side of the CPU that would cause something like that. Not to mention I don't understand what would cause a pin to pretty much disappear. I literally couldn't see it anywhere.
Either way, I sent the board back to Amazon, and they've already shipped a replacement for me. Hopefully I get a fully working one on Saturday when it's scheduled to arrive. If not, I'll be getting a refund and choosing another board -.-'
