Yeah I smell em too Captain.

It's still the GTX 560 which is a great card. Nothing wrong with it at all. Just a different casing....geeze people get a life. We aren't comparing cards, we're just making a comment about one. No one asked ' price performance ' argument for the poor.

If you want performance Nvidia has the best single GPU in the GTX 580 and AMD has the best dual GPU in the AMD 6990. Let's call it as it is.

When I first read this post, I never would have guessed AMD fan boys would come over and troll thier flame war here.

The game obviously isn't free; that's why the card is so expensive. The same thing happened with the Crysis 2 version of the 560 Ti.

Funny thing it's on the bottom of the cards so it's not even really seen even through glass case. It's just the nostalgia of it more or less.

I don't think that sways people to want to buy it for the looks, if they still want a 560 they still want a 560.

Just think how smart EVGA is by the money they make off the gaming developers for advertising. It also in part has to do with the better dev support relationship with these companies that in turn help improve their cards performance as they work together to acheive a better product. It goes hand in hand. Here is a thread that supports what I just said.

Yes, but they pushed this card so hard on people, specially as steam showed them the 9800GT is the biggest card being used.

I don't see how that has any relevance to what I was talking about at all.

Because you're likely intelligent and realize with a game going through that many changes it was an accomplishment just to have the game go gold. It's safe to assume that a majority of gamers that were around when DN3D was relevant have been wanting to play DNF simply because it's the enigma of all unfinished games for our generation, I'm personally going to buy it, play it, and enjoy it without worrying about graphics.

In summation, it's not going to be cutting-edge and likely look dated, but not as dated as some expect.

The only part that makes me sigh is it appears to be a dual-core game, so there's a reasonable chance for a dual-core bottleneck on the low-end quads, like mine.

I remember one year I got a friend a "Duke Nukem: Forever" pre-order as a gag birthday gift, only the gamers understood why that was so funny.

I remember sitting in my highschool programming classes as a senior at a career center back in 2002 and we would have meetings very often and we would all joke around and say "if 3D Realms keeps having meetings like this DNF will never come out"

Thread Starter
The graphics look decent enough to me. As long as the gameplay is there I will get the new game.
I still play the OG Duke Nukem with its outdated graphics. Show me one video game character that is as badass as that guy.

And does no one care about the belt buckle?
If I don't get this special edition card bet I will be searching for someone selling the belt buckle on eBay.
