problem activating windows 7 hp 64-bit

i own a full copy of vista 64-bit, and i received a free upgrade to windows 7 home premium 64-bit with it when it released. i've installed my copy of 7 on two different computers (both mine), a total of 3 times. it is currently on one computer only right now. i recently upgraded to my revodrive and installed everything like normal. now i am getting this activation notification telling me i need to activate my operating system in the next 30 days. i went through the online verification like normal, and it was denied. i went through the automated telephone service, and it was denied. i am fine with buying a new product license, but i would like to get the cheapest one i can find. there are so many different versions for different prices out there, i really do not know which one i need. any help here would be much appreciated and rep will be given to those that help me get this figured out. thanks.

Have you called Microsoft directly? It will most likely take some time on the phone with them redirecting you and whatnot, but there shouldn't be a problem with them allowing you to reactivate your product key again.

i know this is going to sound bad, but does anyone know the number to call? i've dealt with microsoft on the phone in the past, but not for a few years. i went looking for a 1-800 number, but was unable to find one. thanks for the replies so far, i appreciate it.

thanks for the help to those that replied. i was able to get through to someone at microsoft tech support and they went ahead and activated my copy of windows. i am very happy i don't have to drop $100 on another copy of windows 7.

Before you decided to buy. Call MS first. If you got a retail copy of Windows 7 that fails to activate they will help you activate. Keep the product ID handy though, since they will need that to provide you technical support.

Don't forget to provide your Windows 7 PK or Product ID.
