Woot woot. 4.9 GHz stable so far. Tips?

How do the volts look? I have disabled the C1, C3, and C6 states in BIOS and am running with an offset of .075. LLC is on Ultra High, and everything else is set to extreme... VRM frequency at 350.

Did I do everything right? smile.gif

Apologies for the oblong looking desktop tongue.gif

I also realize that 5 minutes in Prime doesn't mean stable, I'm just looking to see if there's a place where I can lower volts or save power here.

Stable is stable. Have you tried using the OC in games or other applications?

Also, your 8*C delta between cores is a bit concerning. It may be indicative of an improper TIM application or that the H50 plate is not torqued correctly. Normal delta should be around 3*C per core.

Seating the H50 is a NIGHTMARE and I did my best. I went a little lenient on the TIM though.

Edit: Testing rendering in PPro CS5 now.

I got the temps a little closer together tightening the screws (not blindly... they all feel the same) on my H50. I don't find a reseat TOO necessary given that everything is at safe temps.

Rendered 20 minutes of 1080p footage in 6 minutes. Holy DICKS

Maximum temp after 20 minutes of BC2 is 60*C

Voltage is a little high for long term use for the H50.

I would try to get something like 4.7ghz stable for 12 hours and then work your way up from there. No way you would be able to tell the difference of 200mhz, and lowering the vcore will help the longevity of your cpu.

Been running prime95 for 4 hours. Stable as a rock. Any tips on the best way to lower Voltage? It wouldn't boot on an offset of .07. Took .075 to boot. Would lowering LLC be the best way to lower and keep stability or is there another method?
