1 fan per channel or?

post #1 of 17
Thread Starter
Ok,

I'm getting this to control 6 Sythe ultra kaze 3k RPM fans for my watercooling (when my rad arrives)

Now, can I only do one fan per channel? If I can do more than one fan per channel can I get a splitter for the cable or something?

Thanks

I wouldn't do more than 2 Amps for each plug.

What's that in volts? I know each channel does 30 volts, and I think the scythe ultra kazes do like 12 volts, So I should be able to do 2 fans on each channel...

Is that right?

If i remember right, each 3k is almost 7.2 volts. you could stick 3 on each.

Yeah, but 3 might be cutting it a little close, I have very few case fans so I'm not really going to be struggling for room.

Thanks though, i'll probably go with These, I think that'll look pretty sweet in my case.

Thanks guys.

Amps =/= voltage.
Each channel only does... twelve (12!) volts. And 2.5 amps. So 12 x 2.5 = 28w~

you can connect as many fans as you want to to one channel on the fan controller - just don't exceed the maximum wattage output per channel on the fan controller, otherwise you're going to let out the magic blue smoke, and you're fan controller won't control anything anymore
