That motherboard looks blingin' hot!! I love the shiny copper heatpipe!

Why didnt you choose the Gigabyte DS3 Waxshop? What is the difference between that and the DQ6? EDIT: There is a DS3 isnt there? Or am I starting to go crazy?!

What sort of overclock are you hoping for out of the RAM?? 1100MHz ?

The DQ6 has ALOT more features and it quad core ready. It has 12 phase power instead of the normal 6 phase power

hehe thats why my mother isnt gonna know about my new computer in the next few months until the parts start ariving

i just hope she dont smash it

also wax u need to trash ur phase and go with something like semi stock cooling so we can compete at ocing

if i find someone to compete with i will oc my rig after i get it... but if not... i might just oc it just a weee bit
once again im a coward ^_^

so u think u can post some non phase statistics oced and non oced once u get it?

also while im here.

what are the odds of a cpu failing or ram or mobo etc as long as the tems are kept bellow 45-50C? this will also help me decide on ocing my rig once i get it im willing to oc a bit but i wont push it to far until i get some spare cash then il go for a super 1 ghz oc! every day i spend looking at these forums the less cowardish i am. yesterday i wouldnt think about ocing my conroe rig once i get it at all! but now im open to the idea of doing it...

eta of my conroe rig to beat wax's scores if he will do some benchies on air cooling... is october max might be next couple weeks. although it cant be technicaly... unless the 1950xt comes out sooner than expected

looking all good with the setup of ur rig wax i hope it turns out well for u

blah blah blah i cant stop typing lol i have alot of semi off topic stuff i posted... but i do have some stuff on topic

p.s. i cant wait for some benchies

I am actually going for the DQ6 now just like ThaWaxShop. I decided to not go for Crossfire so I don't need the 975X chipset. I am also getting a Lian Li PC-65B case and kit for the Mach II GT, basically the same as his, only mine will be black. We are going to have nearly the same computer.

I think someone has a crush on you Waxshop Nah just kidding....I can't to see the results from the both of you. Maybe there should be a deathmatch between RyGuy and Waxshop...the person with the highest overclock gets the other person's computer

GAH! He would win, I am a phase newb. I will be asking so many questions once I get it. I think it is pretty easy to set up but better safe than sorry when it comes to your brand new computer.
I might be wrong but I didnt think there was that much to a retail phase change unit once you have set it up?! I thought all you had to do was chuck in 1.70V and start increasing the overclock

Waxshop is very knowledgable about phase and so is Burn...so they are the 2 guys to contact if you want advice.
