Strange GTX570 problem - 1440 x 900

Hi guys.

This is my first real post here, but I seem to be having a problem with my new rig I built.

I cannot get the LCD screen (LG W1934S-BN) to display at it's native resolution. I can go all the way from 800 x 600 to 1600 x 1200, and every resolution in between except the 14xx ones. I must add that it is an VGA monitor with a DVI - VGA adapter, as the GTX570 does not have a D-sub output.

I tried the nVidia control panel to see if I can make a custom res to use 1440 x 900, but it does not draw correctly. If I use 1280 x 960 it sort of displays correctly but it is far from perfect. Now, some folks have said to install the LG monitor drivers in Windows 7 but I do not have the CD and the LG site is useless with regard to driver downloads.

Does anyone know what my dilemma could be? I am using drivers I downloaded yesterday 26 May 2011, so they are quite current.

PS: We are having an early winter here in South Africa, so I thought I'd post up my idle temps just for kicks

Thnx Apoc. Our local site did not have a drivers tab, that's why I could not find it. The UK site also did not help much. I'll report back tonight to see if it worked. Apparently I must run it in WinXP compatibility mode to get it to work, so I'll give it a shot!

Solved it! Turns out I needed to manually set the additional settings in the custom resolutiion such as interlacing and the pixel edge and so forth. So all is good now
