All you keyboard and mouse elitists do realize that a fair amount of the people in PC shooters are using controllers plugged into their PC, right? You can't tell the difference. When I got together in person for the first time with some one I play a lot of BF2142 with I was completely shocked when he pulled out a Xbox 360 controller to plug into his laptop. So I started to ask around a bit and I have found it is more common than you'd think it would be. Some people that I've seen get in the top three on a regular basis have been using a controller all this time.
I tried it...I am sure with practice I would be fine, but since I don't own a console, and likely won't for quite some time, I didn't think it was worth the effort to learn it. If PC players out do console players it will likely be due to the PC ussually haveing better graphics with larger view distances. If you can't see some one and they can't see you that is a huge advantage (or could see you, but since far off shadows and motion is next to nothing they may not notice you).
As for 360 games on the PC...wow, I can't belive Microsoft would do something so smart. Let's see it in action first, though. I have a feeling it will be very buggy.Edited by Vagrant Storm - 5/27/11 at 6:59am
