End of Summer Goal: Octocore+6950 loop.

Thread Starter
As I await the release of BD, I am preparing to make a loop for an octo-core + 6950 system. So far, I think my selection is fine, but I would leave it to you guys to critique. Any suggestions? Also: would "hanging" the secondary pump (the Danger Den) off the XSPC one with the coupler be hazardous? I wouldn't think so, but I don't know; I have never done a custom loop before. Also, ignore the TIM. I got some I found.

Yeah, it looks good.

Personally I will be using the EK 6950 block when it arrives today or tomorrow.
The rad will cool far more than you need, but that is your prerogative. A 360 would work just as well, and probably fit in the case.

And the pumps, bay res is nice, I also have the single bay res from XSPC. But if you are going to dual pump, probably get something like this:

For a loop like that, I'd recommended a DDC or two and a different res instead. Mixing pumps like that is a bad idea.

Get 2 pumps of the same power.
