I'd recommended using MSI Afterburner smile.gif and if you do use Afterburner be sure to go into settings and unlock the voltage

Check the settings in Trixx, you may have the option to unlock voltage there.

Hope this helped smile.gif

What is the exact model of your card?

Originally I thought the voltage regulators were incapable of changing the output voltage, but I see you have a Sapphire 5850...so I'm not sure.

As the above guy mentioned, try different programs

mine was sapphire too, it had its voltages locked
i flashed it to asus bois, and i can raise my voltages using asus smartdoctor

If you are using Afterburner 2.0 or newer, there is a line that needs to be added in the afterburner.cfg file. At the bottom there is a line that says:

[ATIADLHAL]
UnofficialOverclockingEULA= (blank)

Change to:
[ATIADLHAL]
UnofficialOverclockingEULA= I confirm that I am aware of unofficial overclocking limitations and fully understand that MSI will not provide me any support on it

Doing this allowed me to pass the factory limits for Core, Memory and Voltage on my xfx HD5770
