Just use the hyper stuff and don't sweat it. You'll likely see no more than a 3c difference either way.
Currently I am running my 955BE at 3600MHZ cpu-nb at 2400MHz and the idle and load temps are 43c and 72c respectively. At 73c (peak temp obtained during prime blend testing) the cpu throttles back and lowers the multi and voltage till it cools down. This is completely unacceptable. I want to run my c3 cpu at 3800MHz core and 2800MHz cpu-nb with peak temp under 60c.
If I cant achieve that with the noctua nhd14, it will be a disaster for me. Cause it would mean I would have to get an Antec 620 and those things are not available here, importing is impossible due to higher than mount Everest shipping charges.
If I can keep the cpu under 60c with NHD14 (at 3800MHz), then I would go buy a decent TIM like AS5.
