[Vortez] Fractal Design Arc Review

The chassis market is indeed a competitive arena and Fractal Design have so far left a firm stamp with their Define series taking a strong hold within hardware circles world-wide. It is today that marks our first review with Fractal Design and the start of a promising journey. So far, FD have designed countless elegantly styled cases for the hardware professional and today sees much of the same.

Today we will be taking a look at Fractal Design’s Arc Mid Tower case. This burly enclosure promises to combine rich looking aesthetics, good thermal performance and plenty of features to ensure installation processes are complete without a hitch.

Love it. Wish more cases included vertical expansion slots. Expansion ribbon + single-slot card Free open slot for a folding card. They should make this in a super tower!

Having only one USB 3.0 port ruins it.

How many USB 3.0 devices do you have that need to constantly be plugged in and unplugged and demand high performance all the time?

you can still use the ports on your board...

A hard drive dock and a flash drive. Is it unreasonable to want at least 2 USB 3.0 ports? USB 3.0 ports at the back are kind of useless because it is unlikely that anyone would keep a USB 3.0 flash drive or HDD dock indefinitely plugged (the whole point is being able to carry them around).

Ready for it to be available in the US now...

Really thinking of getting this case when it hits the uk. I love my Haf 932, but its too big to lumber around when changing stuff!

Also looking at the Storm Scout as well...

Get a hub or longer USB3.0 cable...

That hardly "ruins it".
Once again...

I sorta agree with Replica on this one, I love Fractal Design cases, but the lack of 2 x USB 3.0 on the front sorta kills it. Especially when the back of your computer is in a hard to reach area. We use USB 3.0 daily for cloning hard drives.
