This is the first game i have seen that actually has an urban setting that actually looks and feels like a real city, with huge buildings that are actually of proper height. That can be destroyed etc.
Seriously imagine a bombing run from a jet now. Literally demolishing buildings with each volley. Think gulf of oman with the tall building next to the emply swimming pool. Now picture that building being destroyed and having it fall over, completely changing the dynamics of the map.
Lets not even mention the Sound engine that DICE has created, its probably the finest Audio ever done in a video game.
Yeah, no innovation at all....................................
Like I said, new engine, thats it! I agree the destruction will greatly change the game, and the audio..... I guess? But what I am getting to is essentially this is the same game. This is still a first person shooter, where you click right mouse button to aim down your sights, left mouse button to shoot, and you play as an american, who kicks foreigners asses. Yea how many times has that been done!
Other than things pertaining to destruction, visuals, and sound, I don't see that much of a differenced between BF2 and this! I want something new in terms of story, gameplay, and well I just want a new game! To hell with first person shooters, to hell with BF3, make something like Mirror's Edge again! SOMETHING WE HAVE NEVER SEEN!
I guess I am done ranting.....
