Flashing to latest BIOS on brand new motherboard?

Thread Starter
I'm getting an ASUS Crosshair IV today and I was wondering if I should just go ahead and flash it to the latest BIOS? Or wait until I see if I have any issues or not.

I'll be running a Phenom II 955, 2x HD 6850 Xfire, 2x2GB of G.Skill DDR3 1600, and an OCZ Solid III (Sata III) SSD.

Thanks for any advice.

i really wouldnt untill you find a real need for it. play around with the bios you have on it. newer bios dont always mean better bios, take my EVGA Classy for example, all the new bios releases have required far more voltage than the one that came with my board. the latest one i couldnt get over 4.2ghz

Its personal preference really (apart from actually needing a bios update for H/W reasons lol).

I flashed mine the day i got it there last week to the most current version, just to get it out of the way. Pretty easy with the current ASUS boards, pop it on USB and select EZFlash on POST=job done lol. No need for boot partitions on usb drives etc.
