Computer restarting during prime95

Thread Starter
Hey quick question. I've been playing around with an 4.3ghz overclock and I tried lowering the vcore a little bit. And now the computer keeps rebooting about 45 min or so into the test. So I assume I need to reset my vcore to where it was. The weird thing is when it restarts it does not recognize my video card and I get 3 beeps from the on board speaker say it cannot recognize the vga adaptor. Is this a vcore issue or something else?

Possible oops...

So does your computer boot at all, or does it not get past the BIOS at all?

It's a vcore issue. Not having video is one of the results of a bad OC. Sometimes my mouse wont work until I restart and then everything is ok.

vcore or cpu/nb volts, plus depending how you are ocing could be ram issue if your upping the speed of everything.

If it doesn't boot then clear your BIOS and try again.

yeah I just was curious if I could drop the vcore just a tad, guess not lol. Thanks so much for the quick reply's. I was getting nervous it might be a gpu issue.

Go to windows system properties in control panel, and go to advanced and startup and recovery, and uncheck the automatically restart on errors box, and choose a 64k kernel memory dump, and then you'll see the bsod.

Windows 7 shouldn't be restarting from prime errors....you should at least see the bsod.
