I look at the holes in the case and the holes on the mobo and it looks like they're not at the same place. You guys are sure it will fit in ?

cuz they moved the mobo into a new case ?

Bad luck for them cuz it works great for me ^^
It will fit, it's just a rebranded ecs board.

No, they just died and took the chip with them.

Not sure how well that will work. HP uses a lot of proprietary crap that may be incompatible. All you can do is try it out...

Ya... I guess it's the only way we can know.

I would replace the 555 with the 955 by all means. The day of Dual core is about gone. Sure they can unlock, but for 30 dollars more you have a guaranteed Quad that can most likely hit 4.0Ghz on Air.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-808-_-Product

The Ram is a good choice, but wait for a deal. Newegg runs deals on Ram pretty regularly and you can likely find 8gb for 10-20 higher.

Hang around OCN and research the mess out of the different processors, then when you are ready to buy you will know what to get.

On a side note, it will be likely that when you do upgrade the mobo and ram you will have to get a new copy of windows 7.

Get the HAF case! I have the Thermal Take V3 which is the same as the v4 with a different front panel, and that case is almost junk. The first case you picked out has decent cable management which is a huge deal in my books. I just moved over to the 600t and it is about the same size as the haf 932 you are looking at. Here is a comparison.

Sorry for bumping my topic but i took this picture from this topic and the mobo is the same size(microatx) as mine from the hp pavillon. And as i can see the mobo fit in the haf912.

it's a micro atx mobo right ?

Correct, that's micro-ATX.

Yours should fit fine, so I wouldn't worry about it fella.

Ight I was a little bit worried as hp might have placed the holes in different places so you can't pull it out of the hp pavilloncase and place into a new case..

Im trying to fit both those 2 pic in photoshop lol
