I can't speak for the GTx, but I've only just got rid of my XFX 6870 BE and it was fab, only thing I didn't like was the reference cooler. Which was too noisy for me and had the card running at up to 90-95c in my case. I played BFBC2, Call of duty, Crisis 2...all on full spec and never had any fps problems.

Hope that helps a bit

They're pretty much alike, gaming performance wise. It really depends on the games you play to notice a difference in performance between these two cards. TWIMTBP games will favour the nVidia card, while others will favour the AMD GPU. Go with the one you like most tongue.gif

If you're interested in folding, the nVidia cards are better tongue.gif

If i'm not mistaken, hardware acceleration on Adobe products takes more advantage from a nVidia GPU, so maybe you should go with the GTX560 for working on renderings and stuff, as your little athlon won't do a greater job at that as a good GPU.

Although it is more $ you may want to look at the 6970. It is better than the 560. The 560 is slightly better than the 6850 but not by much.

If your going for a 69 series, $ for $ the 6950 can't be beat...awesome performance and overclocking for the price and thats without the opportunity to bios flash it to a 6970 spec anyway
