i recommend Samsung f4 2tb i have 3 of them no problems yet been running 24/7 for about 4 months to a year drives were purchased separately.....

I have 4 f4 2TB drives and love them. I had the same delima you did about Sanmsung vs WD and decided Samsung due to all the problems with WD 2TB green drives, espcialy the RAID issues. Im very happy with my decision.

Also, keep in mind that Seagate just bought out Samsungs HD devision and its not yet known what impacts that will have.

Think you probably made the right choice - this tech review has the F4EG beating the WDCG on moreorless all counts, including power and performance, despite half the cache size. It's also cheaper.

Only thing I saw going for the WDCG over the F4EG is cache size and lower measured idle power (2.6W vs 3.7W - though even the higher is v good).

I'm probably about to order the exact same model
