Page file delete problems?

What's up OCN

I've got a PC running Vista Home Premium.

I've got the OS installed on an older 34 gig raptor drive. So to save space
I turned off and deleted the page file. I also deleted the hiberfil.sys file.

Now on start up the system intermittently hangs,
then reboots with a windows failed to start error.

Is this related to deleting the page file and hybersys file?

Erm, yes it is. I have no experience with Vista but to delete your page file you do it by right clicking computer on the start menu and going advanced, then setting it to 0mb. You can't just delete the file. As for the hibernation file you have to do that in power options in advanced as well.

Yes that's what I did. I first turned it off through the process you described.
Then I deleted it.

I deleted the hiberfil.sys file through command prompt by entering:
Code:
powercfg-h off

Can anyone else help with this please.

I know many turn off the page file and I have heard of many deleting the hiberfil.sys file.

I'm not sure why this is causing problems.
