spend 10$ more to 1600 memroy compared with 1333?

I try to find out if it worth to spend extra $10 to get 1600 memory from 1333 memory. I compared those two memory. Both are good brands.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231314

for $75

and
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-20145315-L04A

is on sales for $64

I read the review and seems 1600 and 1333 is not noticeable and even that, u can OC 1333 to 1600. Is that corsiar xms good for oc? It is worth to spend another $10 to get the G skill memory?

i7 2600k
EVGA GTX 460 1GB SC
AsRock Z68 Pro3

You aren't guaranteed to get 1600 on the 1333.

I bought my ripjaws for $100 and those were 1333, I think you should buy the 1600 memory and be glad that hardware gets cheaper with time

The prices @egg are different but anyway - get the 1600ish RAM. Some spend zillions of $ for theire g.card and don`t buy funky RAM.
Edit: Or you go for some 1866 or even higher RAM. It doesn`t hurt! (Except you wallet)

I got coupon code with my new newegg account. They sent to me few days ago for memory day sale. It is after rebate price for corsair memory and it is After code price for G skill memory. That is why the price are different.

Even better, if you get the 1600mhz, you could downclock it to around 1333 and lower the timings. Which would be better than just worrying about how high the clock is.

What's the coupon code good for?

Thanks, sounds like it is good choice. Will memory go overheat when i overlock it? Any software i can run to monitor/test the memory is stable after overlock?
If you downclock it a little and then lower the timings to 8 that shouldn't affect heat too much. For a memory test you can use OCCT and there's a memtest option in it.

Is your coupon code good for any other ram?

This one : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc..._-20231416-L0D

The code probably works for everyone which $76 after code. The code is on the newegg page.

Yea I would go for the 1600mhz version and try to lower the timings. You'll get more room to play with the ram than with the 1333 version.
