hi i recently purchased a intel 510 120gb ssd. My pc is a Dell xps 730 i could use the existing sata cable and powering thats connected to my current hdd but i doubt its fast enough. i purchased a pci express sata 3 card that supports up tp 6gbps (model PEXSAT32). i also purchased a few sata 3 cables. i was aware that some modo (motherboards) dont support this but thanks to amazon i can always send it back. my main question is is there any special thing i have to do or i just shut down plug everything in and boot to cd and instsall windows 7 64 bit onto the ssd ???

SATA 3 is backwards compatable to SATA 2 as well, so even if your motherborad/HDD whatever does not support it it will default to SATA 2 speeds. The only thing you have to check for is perhaps a jumper on the HDD to ensure the correct speed is set, but thats rare.
