Would a 5770 for 2 4870's be a good deal? - Page 5

So you'd just have a 2nd computer laying around, as a backup? Sounds like a bad idea. But anyways I'd stay with a 5770; 4870's are in the $50 range so maybe it's technically a "good trade". A better option would be just selling the 5770 for $80-90 and buying a GTX 460 for around $110.

i'd do it & put aftermarket coolers on them in a C2D system using XP, and then play old games at insane res/frames

The actual sale value of 2 4870's is higher than 1 5770.
