Asus p8p67 mobo. ram issues even with rma

hey so i just got my ram swapped for the ripjaws x and the mobo rmaed. when i got em back today. I tried turning it on, and I'm still getting a red led for the ram.. i even did the mem test button too and cmosed it

what should i do? i haven't been on my awesome computer for 4 weeks now...

Have you tried using the other DIMM slots? Perhaps that RAM kit is not compatible with that particular motherboard...

yes i did try all the other slots. the cpu works fine, no lights there. the ram kit is compatible with it, many people use the same setup as me and they have it fine.

Have a speaker hooked up to your mobo with no ram slots in you should get a beeping noise if not its the mobo. You should also look into getting a bigger power supply. Not saying that it is the problem just could be.

What happened when you hit memok?

Sometimes it's not instant, there can be many cycles of testing until the proper config is found.
