Yes, they have the lowest number of repairs out of all major manufacturers

In terms of needing repair they even beat Apple (apple came in 4th by the way).

ASUS A52XI48JT-SL/82NDYXXB 15.6" Notebook Core i5 480M Windows 7 2GB DDR3 500G AMD Radeon HD 6370M Graphics Wifi 0.3 Mega Webcam Laptop
ASUS N73YI241SV-SL/64NRBXXB 17.3" Notebook Intel Core i5-2410M Windows 7 4G 640G GT540M Graphics WiFi Webcam Laptop
ASUS K52XI48JU-SL/82NDYXXR 15.6" Notebook Core i5 480M 2.66 GHz Windows 7 2GB DDR3 500G AMD Radeon HD 6370M Graphics Wifi Webcam Laptop

Asus are the best there is, followed by Toshiba and Dell. I've been telling people, people've been laughing back at me, until 2 months later they bring me their pathethic HP/Acer to repair it biggrin.gif

I've had my second-hand Asus laptop (sig) since October of 2010. When I first got it, it was plagued with BSOD problems. They magically went away for no rhyme or reason and have only come back once when I unplugged it from AC power and plugged it back in. If I power it off, unplug it and turn it back on, it runs fine on battery. Just have to remember to shut it down before plugging it back in,, or else I'm guaranteed a BSOD.

Aside from that one nuance, it's the perfect desktop replacement. Plays any game I own flawlessly and does everything any desktop can.

Here is the Windows Experience Index for it taken last weekend.

Did you get that SSD finally from your sig? I'd assume so considering that primary disk rating...lol

Still get some use out of my 3 year old asus laptop as an htpc lol. In general dislike laptops but asus, lenovo and sometimes toshiba have always been top brands imo.

Pretty much the same as mine, minus the larger chassis. Have had no issues at all with mine ever since I bought it in Dec. 2010.

But yeah, if you want great reliability, you have to get Asus, Lenovo, Apple, or Toshiba.

And actually on topic, yes, they are awesome. Consumer reports loves them, they get great reviews, my Asus netbook and my Asus G51 ran gorgeously the whole time I had them. Still have the netbook, and it hasn't given me any problems yet.
