Why not try for a 470 in the market place? they usually go for 160-180

Also, I'd stay away from XFX, havent ever heard anything pleasant about them

Also, no PSU?

there is two problems I see with your build one your motherboard is complete crap if your buying all this other half decent products such as 6870 and 8gb of ram you NEED!!!! a half decent motherboard such as a p8p67 or something in that range and two most of the time its not a good idea to buy universal stuff its just a general rule of thumb. Hope this helped

Biostar makes good motherboards, but you might want to upgrade to the next higher model just to be safe.

The case looks like crap imo. Check out the CM 690 II or the Antec 300.

There is no performance difference from 4-8gb yet, but with the prices so cheap you might as well go for 8gb.

CPU | Intel Core i5-2500K
Motherboard | Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3
RAM | G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3/1600
GPU | XFX Radeon HD 6870
HDD | Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB
Optical Drive | Lite-On iHAS424-98
PSU | Antec High Current Gamer 520W
Case | Antec Three Hundred
CPU Cooler | Cooler Master Hyper 212 +
OS | Windows 7 Home Premium

This build should fit your budget just about perfect. It is of good quality and leaves room for upgrades (second 6870, SSD/RAID 0 HDD's, 4 more GB of RAM)... Just shop around online for the best prices.

Noticed the MOBO was taking a lot of flak, I would like to keep it a Biostar due to the coloration matching the rest of the build (I know its a terrible reason to pick a product), and was wondering which I would get instead?
