Playing 1680*1050 on a 20'inch monitor for mouse and keyboard games. I'd like to move to a 24'inch, but I'll wait and get one with my next PC. I don't fear the fps loss anymore seeing how well new gpu's handle high resolutions.

However if the game is a console port, or has the option for a gamepad control anyway I play on a 32'inch TV (as I like the gamepad-tv-console-like experience).

Eyefinity setup on a pair of 6970s. A pair of 24" monitors with a 28" in the middle, and a 22" vertical that is 1050x1680. Thinking of getting another pair, that 5x eyefinity looks pretty sexy

Interesting, with a board of hardcore PC gamers I expected more 1920x1200 players like myself. Why give up the extra vertical visual content?

It seems 1920x1080 monitors are now becoming the standard in place of 1920x1200. It's a shame but oh well.

Because 1920x1080 cheaper. That's why.

HOWEVER, I must point out here that 1920x1200 actually sees less in games than 1920x1080. That's hor+ scaling and that's just how it works.

1920x1200 does indeed have more vertical resolution than 1080, but it doesn't matter. The ratio between the horizontal and vertical resolution matter. 1920 is more compared to 1080 than to 1200, and thus 1920x1080 sees more horizontally, the same vertically, since every resolution sees the same vertically.

I can do 1920x1440, which sees even less than 1920x1080 and 1920x1200.
