Screen size =/= resolution. Screen size has absolutely no bearing on GPU load (how could it?).

MSI

MSI is well known for ther more overclocking efficient cards compared to the competition.
Also Lightning editions usually have hardware/component modifiactions to ensure higher performance or overclocking.
Is that the case wit hthe MSI Lightning?

I will list all potential candidates which meet all my requirements and would like you to recommend one:

Here again the criteria:

1.)Factory overclock
2.)Best overclockability according to tests and reviews/ I wanna hit 1GHZ
3.)Best cooling with external exhaust which probably won´t be the case with non ref
4.)Best possible resell value

Here the cards:

EVGA GTX 580 DS Superclocked 2GB:

Gainward GTX 580 Phantom 2GB:

Gigabyte GTX 580 Super Overclock 2GB:

MSI GTX 580 Lightning 2GB:

Sparkle Calibre GTX 580 2GB:

-------------------------------------------------------

Some of these cards are much higher factory overclocked like for example the Gigabyte Overclock one.

Others have triple fan cooling like the Phantom , Sparkle and Gigabyte.

And again others have hardware modifactions which ensure a higher overlock and performance like the MSI.

Again I don´t care about the price as long if it is in my budget of 510€.
I also don´t care about 3GB or 2GB as long as it is in the budget.

.)I want to hit 1GHZ + so the card needs great overclockability
.)I want it to still be cool with those clocks so it needs great cooling
.)I want it to have a good resellvalue so brand, reputation etc is an aspect

Here also the 3GB versions:
http://geizhals.at/deutschland/?cat=...32_2048#xf_top

So please the Nvidia pros recommend!

Please Note these things though:

If the 3GB versions overclock/cool better in any way I would not mind getting them because I don´t care about the additional 40-50€

I heard the MSI one exhausts heat into the case therefore making all other components in your PC hotter. Not sure if that bothers you?

Yes the Twin Frozr Design exhausts into the case but it does not bother me since my CPU is on water with the Koolance 370.

People please just concentrate on the big post with all the cards.

.)+1GHZ overclock
.)best cooling (if possible with external exhaust)
.)good resellvalue based on brand, features , warranty etc

Those are base on more on core clOck not VRAM

Your #2 is luck of the draw really, especially if you're sticking with air coolers.

Secondly, there are no 2GB 580s. it's either 1.5GB or 3GB.

As for resale however, I think you might actually have an easier time moving a 1.5GB model, just because so few people really need more VRAM than that. A 3GB model will be worth more, but the market is smaller.

AA is very VRAM dependent actually, but at 1080p there's no way he'll be VRAM limited with a 1.5GB 580...
All of those cards have 1.5gb of vram..and it really shouldn't matter as long as your res is 1080, even on a large tv.

Also, not sure what the cooling differences are like between all of those, but I really like the looks of the 580 ds.

Have you considered the EVGA 460 2win? 2x 460 in one card, faster and cheaper than 580 too.

You said "at 42" (inches)." Why would you mention that if you didn't think that screen size mattered?
