New computer turns on for 1 second then turns off - Page 3

Honestly, this exact thing happened to me - the sticks worked fine on their own, and they even memtested ok sometimes.

When they went in together, though, nothing worked. (this was an OCZ set, not my gskill set)

Trying it in 1+3 is a good idea, but I would also recommend running memtest for a couple of passes to make sure it's definitely not the ram.

100% its you motherboard, I had the same issue and had it RMA.
They confirmed the issue is with the motherboard and I'm waiting for a replacement..

That shouldn't have an impact, your ram is rated for 1.25 but it can still run at 1.5. Keep your Vram at 1.5 and up your VCCIO, that is what is used to stabilize ram

ive got the ram running at 1.25 and its installing windows. will try your method later.

both sticks work in the same channel (slot 3 and 4). so i can narrow it down to a problem with the dual channel mode. i will try a bios update of the motherboard
