Idk if that was your intention but I wouldn't OC on that board. I assume it lacks power phases.

No. Check out benchmarks, the x4 delivers generally a higher amount of FPS, and I wouldn't assume he's using it for many applications that utilizes hexa's anyway (however, I do not know, of course). You're spot on otherwise.
Sometimes the x6 has driver issues which heavily decreases FPS.
Regardles of the 4GHz.
