My girlfriend is considering buying this tommorrow, and I don't know alot about laptops, she wants it mostly for the usual things like emails, homework, and flash games, but she also wants it to be able to run the sims 2. And perhaps the sims 3. Would it be capable of running them?

I don't see why not. But gaming is a no go with those intel graphics. Perhaps an AMD solution with a nice IGP would be better.

I dont know the conversion rates, but it seems decently priced. You could get away with Sims 3 but not much else. It will eat her homework alive.
