The Real Console Killer

Thread Starter
Now that my main build has finally got nails in its coffin, I am looking for a new project. I am sick of all of my friends saying "PS3 and Xbox 360 are way better than PC" so I am going to teach them all a lesson! I have quite a few spare parts lying around, but the only ones that I am thinking of including in this rig are my AMD Phenom II x4 965 Black Edition, Corsair H50, Arctic Silver MX-4 ,Colorful GeForce GTS 450 512MB, Hitachi 250GB and Pioneer DVD Burner. I also have an Asus M4A79XTD Evo and a Cooler Master GX 750W, however I am looking for a cheap mATX board instead and also 750W is way too much for my system so I might as well sell it. Nevertheless, here are the criteria for the parts I am looking for and my thoughts...

Motherboard | MSI 760GM-P33 ~$55
A real cheapo mATX mobo that can support future Bulldozer CPU's

Memory | Kingston 4GB DDR3/1333 ~$45
A cheap 4GB module

PSU | Corsair CX 450W ~$35
Cheap PSU

Case | IDK Yet ~$25
I am just going to pick up a cheap, SFF case from the electronics market

any suggestions?

Looks good to me.If there is one thing that I had is all those dumb @ss people that think ps3 and xbox and all the other game consoles are better then a gaming pc.I had a friend from work come over the other day who is a hard core ps3 user and he said after playing battle field bad company 2 on my pc he will never look at his ps3 the same again and he now wants to buy a pc.

I think you should actually keep the old 750W PSU, because i cant join words "450w" and "Phenom 965" together in my head. Future proof as well And if wont keep the 750w, dont go lower than 500w, just dont IMO.

And i would try to avoid MSI and mATX boards, especially both together lol. But do as its better for you and your wallet.

keep the same psu and put more money towards a mobo so u can upgrade and oc in the future. as for a case... depends on what u want to spend and if u want a mid or full tower... i like full tower much more room and everything is cooler because there is no clutter of wires and crap.
