I don't believe you have to have a display port on your monitor. Otherwise why would you need an active display port adapter? And everything I have read (extentsively) says you don't. You just have to have the active display port adapter.

If the adapter was bad why would it work when I swap the monitors? All three also work during the boot process. Not all at the same time. But in sequence.

The thing I don't understand. Is the CCC shown in all the tutorials is a completely different version than the current one.
Nono you misunderstood what I meant. I meant you'd use those outputs on your card. Hence why I said a DP-HDMI or DP-DVI adapter.

Also, I didn't read your connections previously. You DID attach them all to the same card right?

All are attached to the same card. I only have one.

The connections again are from the monitor to the card:

DVI on monitor to vga on card
DVI on monitor to DVI on card
vga on monitor to active display port adapter to display port on the card
