System fans locked at 2000RPM. Solutions? - Page 2

Problem solved. I just removed one of the 120mm fans from the radiator. I have a small case and things were getting pretty cramped around the radiator and removing a fan really seems to help. Now, even though it's still running at full speed, it's much more quiet and I only sacrificed a degree or two in cooling. Push pull was way overkill, still getting 31c idle.

Idle temps mean nothing... wait till you load the cpu. My fans go down to 10% when my cpu is idle. That keeps it at 50C. When I ramp up to 100% at full load, cpu temp is 60C.

Try some of these:

I have a Zalman one, personally, and it reduces the voltage by a little too much. The fan will barely push with the Zalman ones.

Temps under load (in game) are about 50-55c. I'm pretty satisfied with that, though I haven't torture tested it.

use SpeedFan.

its very useful, you can set at wich temps u want full fan speed.

ex. when idle (cpu temp <30) = cpu fan 50% and system fans off.

I've tried SpeedFan but it only let's me control the CPU fan, not the system fan.

you have to set it to manual control in the advanced tab:

then check this box in the speeds tab:

now set the temps at wich you want fans to increse speed:

and finally this:
