Last I checked they even use some Samsung panels on their bravia tv's. Only thing holding them on in TV's is their bravia engine (aka image processing board, that is likely made by someone else just made to different specification/different circuit board).
both sony and samsung own a company called s-lcd where they build the panels for there tv's. samsung 50+1 share sony 50-1 share

It does have impact. If Apple wants to sue because samsung's products look similar, and the court is willing to grant Apple the injunction, Samsung needs to have access to Apple's products to make sure they [Samsung] aren't infringing on Apple's stuff again.

WORD
Which would be a good move on Samsung's part since APPLE is putting Samsung in the position to do so..
And if it does not happen, on Samsung's behalf then to Heck with Apple..once/if this happens I say Samsung cut there loses and move on.

I have a feeling that Apple and Samsung will kiss and make up. It is just a lovers' quarrel.

People, simply put if Samsung stopped making parts for apple's parts, apple would just find a new supplier. 2. If that happened samsung isn't going to go under.

Albeit while making the price of whatever they put out next, going up.
Samsung makes their A4/A5 processors. Not to mention tons of IC controllers etc that are on the mainboard etc. It's not as simple as "just finding another supplier".

yes while not oh so simple; it's what they would do, but more then likely in the form of a new chip and a new iphone.

Highly doubt this is going to happen. It's a long shot by Samsung.

Apple has good reason to see Samsung's stuff and a judge agreed with them. If Samsung were to obtain Apple's unreleased products merely to ensure they dont trample on Apple's products, it sets a stupid patent-infringing-avoidance precedent that just isn't going to work.

IIRC thats why the patent system exists.

If you're going to let people own the rights to an idea, you have to let other people know that they can't use the ideas owned by other people.

If looks are capable of being owned, how are you going to make sure you aren't preparing to make something that looks just like something a competitor is about to make as well if they want to keep it a secret?

I think it's stupid that a court is even taking this case seriously. Even if the pictures of the Samsung phone being released before the iPhone are false, it shows that back then, Apple did nothing to show that they owned the look and feel of the iPhone. So, how the hell are they getting away with it now?
