Why are there so many statements about samsung suddenly cutting off supply of components to Apple.

Anyone here actually study business law?

A company CANNOT suddenly decide to stop supplying another. Much depends on the contract signed by both companies and what the termination clauses are. Companies like Apple and Samsung usually make contracts that spans years. If Samsung prematurely terminates without a clause allowing them too in the contract they will face a MUCH bigger lawsuit then they are right now.

This is just what a previous poster stated. A lovers spat that will end soon. Apple just wants to make a point to others that try to copy their products.

Correct, except I am sure under contracts there are many variables or circumstances that allow for breaking of contract.

Typically when one supplier gets sued by the client or vice versa.
