Looking around, can't find where to measure the readings from. I'm looking and all I see is the standard pcb.

I have a Sapphire HD 5850 xtreme.

I overclocked it to 900 Mhz @ 1.15 v and what I saw is that:

As you can see, GPU-z doesn't read correctly the voltages while HWiNFO32 does.

I modified the voltage with Trixx (I don't like very much, but MSI Afterburner doesn't allow me to modify).

Ahh, it's changing the voltage on the first card, but not the second one.

I'm not sure what to do about this, I've done everything I can think of

I don't intend to let this die, someone has to have an answer for this!

@ W1zzard, I assume you're the same person who wrote the program, was it tested with dual gpu setups to make sure it worked? Could it be my hardware is defective?

I have the exact same problem with 2x sapphire 5830 xtremes. Trixx only changes the voltage of the first card. I don't have a multimeter to check with like W1zzard suggested, but HWiNFO64 confirms it. They're both at 1ghz, and when I run distributed computing the underpowered card freezes.

I recently ordered 2x5830 xtreme cards. I used them the past 2 days. I found that one was actually defective, showing artifacts in windows etc. at default clocks on benchmarks. That same defective one would not let me adjust the voltage on the card through trixx. I am in the process of RMAing 1 of the cards right now (hopefully I'll get it back quickly, though doubtful).

My other one works great. I can adjust the voltage and I can overclock a little bit more with that voltage adjustment even though I have to have the fan at 100% to avoid artifacts.

BTW, not running these in crossfire, just both in the same machine. Might crossfire down the road though.

Tested cards individually as well.
