Alright I'll look around for good prices. I've heard Newegg open box was pretty good, so if I get lucky there I might as well just buy it.

Also, gtx 460 1gb's in SLI perform better than a single gtx 580. I'm using a single gtx 460 at the moment and i have yet to find a game that i have to turn the graphics settings down on.
I haven't built it yet. So I can order any power supply that will work with it. I'm using newegg's power recommendation tool and I'll probably go with like a 1000w because I'm seeing that the 800w and 1000w (highest rated power supplies) on newegg are going for like the same price, so I don't see why I shouldn't buy it...besides electricity bills, but the payment of that has nothing to do with me

My system pulls like 850w from the wall, but everything I have is overclocked.
How are you measuring that? You can run SLI 470s off a 750 watt easily. I know one person here is running SLI 470s on a 650 watt but I wouldnt chance it.

At near $100 a card the re-released sapphire 5830 is a great deal.

For $200 now and a second one later 6870s would do nicely, perhaps even 1gb 6950s if you find a deal

Alright, so what card am I going with?

I'd like something that will get me easily 60+ fps with a phenom ii x4 965 black edition if that's possible.

and to trulsrohk,

yeah that actually looks like a great deal, I would buy 1 for now and then buy the other one in the future. Would that be able to handle multiple monitors in the future if I chose to do that or should I go with a higher card?

I might. I'll think about it.

I'm honestly thinking about doing 2 EVGA GTX 460 1 GB cards, they're $140 each.

Yeah, two 460's or 560's would be a great choice. If you can find cheap 5870's those will also kick ass.

If you are looking to go to an eyefinity setup at some point it would benefit you more to go with a card that has at least 2gb of ram. At least if you want to get the most out of the setup

You can get GTX 460 SE's at about $130 after MIR

I was looking at going that route personally... but my single SE OC'd to 851mhz has been plenty for my needs.

Single $400 card > two $200 cards IMHO when it comes to the crap you have to deal with having dual cards (sli/cossfire driver/game issues)

I was going to buy a second 460 SE today, but decided to just save few extra bucks and buy a 560TI

Those issues are few and far between these days. At least in my experience with sli 460's and now 560's.

OP I would get a 560 if you can. They go for $185 open box but they seel fast.

But yah 2 x 460's will also kick butt!
