1090t x6 Overclocking problems

Thread Starter
So I am attempting at overclocking my 1090t. I have had failed miserably on many different oc settings and combinations that which I have gathered through researching the internet. I have failed at 3.8 ghz and am now down to 3.7ghz to see if I have any luck with prime 95. I am thinking about starting completely over and I hope to get some good feedback on how to get started and gradually work up to a stable 4ghz clock. Thanks for the help!

Your VRMs are probably overheating causing the instability. Which mobo do you have the 750-g55?

The mosfets on that board are just going to blow up trying to get a 1090t to 4GHz. I would shut off two of the cores on the cpu and run at stock until you can get a board with a 8 phase power supply.

In the second link there is a chart the 750-g55 on the list as confirmed exploding with a 1090t.
