Thread Starter
I have my 950 with the x58 sabertooth overclocked to 4 ghz but i am wondering if i can change the frequencies so that my ram will be at 1600mhz even? but still have my machine be stable.

DRAM frequency multiplier should achieve that which you seek.

How is it unstable? Is it BSOD-ing or not booting to windows or BIOS?

I have the server version of the 950 and am running @ 21 multi and 200.

You can just check your minidump files or with your event viewer.

Your FSB is the reference that your DRAM frequency uses. If you set the DRAM multiplier that gives a RAM frequency near your stock frequency, it will be more stable.

I think that you are running your ram @ 1531 given that you are at 21x191 on your processor. I ve been reading that the difference between that and 1600 is not worth the effort, also that you will not notice any difference in your everyday use. I personally don't bother running my ram any higher, as I have the same issue as you: when I set my CPU @ 20x200, it is impossible to make it stable. For some reason 21x191 for my 950 and for others' seems to be a sweet spot.
