The demo video was run using a single 580. Anything lower probably won't be enough

i dont see how people are running bfbc2 on max with a 460... my 560 gets me about 80 FPS but i dont have everything maxed... i just have it so that everything is set to high and the AA and all that crap is at 4x instead of 8x or 16x or whatever max is.

Wrong, 60+ FPS and never dipping below? On pre-alpha? LOL, my 6970s will take the game and have it's way

See, they say that as I had a 460 @1GHz without HBAO(Check my benchmarks for BC2) and it got only 80, put HBAO on and it slowed down alot.

Or a cheap 920 and x58 like I did. Saved my cash for another 6970.

You can swap for this gpu and with rebate comes to the same price plus free shipping and has the new Total War game, Shogun.

Otherwise you are looking good.

I've had bad luck with rebates; one time at Fry's they charged my dad for anti-virus software, but said that the rebate would cover the cost, so we thought, what the heck, might as well. It's 2011 and it hasn't come for 8 years .

HIS does their rebates, might not be the quickest but they come. Plus the 6850 is a good card. I liked my 460 alot cause of 1GHz, but that was one of the best cards out there(highest I know of on stock cooling)

Apparently, the HIS 6850 you guys mentioned has a problem with being DOA based on the reviews?? I'm kind of concerned.

Also, I didn't notice that the GTX 460 768MB has a $30 rebate, so I might be lucky there...

at 900 I can't say it for sure, but I expect the game to eat VRAM. Also, for every one bad review you read there are 20 happy people who didn't post cause of no problems.
