Stability Test(s) for 24/7

Hey sup,

I am back...I got my CPU down-clocked to 4.4 from 5.0 as I could never get it stable with Prime95. I got it now at 4.430. Will post my screen shots in second update!

Now, regarding 24/7 use is more like me playing games, internet, movies, music, and all the other normal stuff. Now, I do not mean to run folding or anything like that 24/7 (matter is not at all--at least not on this PC). My PC is off at night 99% of the time.

The reason I got it down to this is because at 5.0 I was getting 104-110k in IBT...and now with these settings I am at 100-101k, plus my temps are now max 71c when before was more like 90+c!

The reason I want to still over-clock is just because I like it like that, and want to find a settings that I will be happy with. In this case I am very happy with these results.

Now to the question:

I am thinking of running Prime95, IntelBurnImage, OCCTPT, Linx, and anything else you may recommend.

The question is: What settings should I run all these programs at?

Like IBT...how many runs at MAX settings?
Prime 24h?
Linx 1h?
OCCTPT at MIX for 1h?

What do you suggest to do to make sure all this is good?

I am using ROG Maximus IV Extreme with 2600k CPU and Noctua NH-D14 Air Cooling unit!

Thank you very much!

UPDATE:

Well, I am getting as low as 24c to max or 71c at full load. Also my vCore is going from 1.288-1.296 at full load and in idle it is at 1.304-1.312.

If you look at the screenshots you will also see that CoreTemp is reading that my CPU is at 3.5Ghz, but rest of the programs are showing the right stuff.

I have passed Linx, OCCT and IBT with 1h tests each, and I am very happy as I believe my PC is now fully stable. As of Prime95...well not interested in running it 24h. No game (or whatever I do) will use my CPU at that 100% load and stress it like these programs do too. I have tested the idle to see if it will BSOD, and I went over night with no problem as well as if you look at the pictures it did not fail for over an hour of extreme low level at 1.6Ghz.

This is why I think my CPU jumps to (vCore) 1.304-1.312.

For me personally, when I first dial in an overclock I'll let it run the auto OCCT run (1 hour, medium data set). If it makes it through that then I'll do 8 hours of each prime95 test (blend, small FFT, in place large FFT). If it can survive at least 8 hours of each then I call it stable. That's just my personal opinion, I know there are many people on here that aren't satisfied until they are 24+ hour prime stable.

Usually if my OC is really unstable it'll crash within 5-10 mins of OCCT, once you get through that hour it's more about fine tuning.

juding by those gflops, im pretty certain your not using the updated avx version with the new linkpack. http://jared.be/downloads/linx/ Make sure you have service pack 1 installed. By the way becareful with it, temps can be much higher than prime blend. I get over 10/12c higher

Dont go OCD stress testing it, stablize it and enjoy the power

Good luck

Personally I just to anywhere from 20-50 ITB (with AVX installed) at the 'High' setting and call it a day. I did a 1 hour blend run for the 5ghz club but it took the same voltage as ITB did for the 20 runs.
