Dual ddc or single d5?

Thread Starter
I am currently using a D5 655 with an ek x-top. I have a dual ek ddc top but no pumps. The next revision of the loop will have an ek hf supreme (square version), 2x ek fc470gtx, thermochill 120.4, and rx240. I was thing about putting the dual top to use, but I'm not sure which pump to get. Mavericks 350 pump sale looks tempting. Any suggestions?

As an owner of dual ddc's I'd say stick with the d5. If I turn off one of my pumps, I still have plenty of flow and temps do not change at all. You don't currently need the pressure that dual ddc's pump.

Im running: cpu, ram, mb, three gpu, two rx480 rads all on a single ddc 3.2 (mcp 355). your d5 is plenty enough for your loop.

Many have gone the route of dual DDC pumps in the loop for redundancy "IF" a pump ever glitches. Thus, the loop still runs.

If a single D5 failed, you will need to wait to get the loop back up and running with a replacement. Usually that happens when you need the computer the most.

Yes, my pumps are tempting. That's the purpose; To offer pumps at a very reasonable price to help others in the WCing realm.
